Bavarian Tart

Combine butter and sugar and mix well
- Bottom Crust:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup flour
- 2/3 cup nuts, chopped
- Filling:
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Topping:
- 1 large can Bartlett pears, drained and cut in wedges
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cold Sesame Noodle Salad

Cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain and run under cold water to cool
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 6 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili-garlic sauce (found in the Asian section of your grocery store)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 Kirby cucumbers, quartered lengthwise and sliced
- 4 scallions (white and light green parts), sliced
- 2 medium carrots, grated (1 cup)
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
Restaurant Style Shrimp Scampi

Cook linguine according to package directions; drain, rinse, drain again, and cover to keep warm
- 1 pound uncooked linguine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined, with tails left on
- 12 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Pork Adobo

Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces
- 1 pound pork (loin, belly, butt, stew meat or spare ribs)
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar (we used cane sugar vinegar)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon peppercorn
- 1 large bay leaf

- 1 can (21 oz) blueberry pie filling
- 1 cup Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup fat-free (skim) milk
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
Granny White's BBQ Sauce

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; add onion
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. onion, chopped
- 3/4 c. catsup
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
- 3 T. sugar
- 3 T. mustard
- 3 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. pepper
Roasted Chicken with Vegetables

In a small bowl, stir together oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (3-1/2- to 4-pound) whole chicken
- 2 carrots, coarsely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
- 2 celery stalks, coarsely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
Southern Style Spaghetti Salad

- 1 pound spaghetti, broken in half
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Colby-Jack cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 (5-ounce) jar sliced Spanish olives, drained
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Microwave Jerk Chicken

In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients except the chicken; mix well
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 5 scallions, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
- 1 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (1 to 1 1/4 pounds total)
Louis Sauce
