Lay out the bread slices and spread 1 side with butter
- 1/2 lb Swiss cheese; shredded
- 8 sl Rye bread with caraway seeds
- 1 c Sauerkraut; well drained
- 1/4 lb Corned beef; thinly sliced
- 1/4 c Unsalted butter; softened
- 3/4 c Thousand Island dressing
Citrus Twist Punch

In a punch bowl, combine the orange juice, lemonade, and cranberry-raspberry juice; stir until well mixed
- 1/2 gallon orange juice, chilled
- 1/2 gallon lemonade, chilled
- 1 container (32 ounces) cranberry-raspberry juice, chilled
- 1 liter ginger ale, chilled
- 1 quart rainbow sherbet
Creamy Ham and Tortellini

1 Cook and drain tortellini as directed on package
- 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated cheese-filled tortellini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 cups cubed (1/2 inch) cooked ham
- 2 cups frozen chopped broccoli (from 1-lb bag)
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (1 oz)

Wash, peel, seed and coarsley chop everything
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 pimiento (Cubanelle--sweet Italian pepper) or substitute with green bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper or 1sm jar roasted red peppers
- 1 medium head of garlic (2 tbsp. minced garlic)
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 12 ajíes dulces (hard to find and may skip)
- 6 leaves of recao - (Eryngium) (hard to find/skip)
- 1/4 cup Spanish olives, pitted
- 1 tbsp capers
- 2 tsps salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp crushed orégano
- 1/2 cup olive oil
My Favorite Marinade

Combine all ingredients in a jar or other container that has a lid
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup white wine or balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ground dry mustard
- 2 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons ground cloves
Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Put the yogurt, milk and powdered sugar in the blender
- 1 8-ounce container of strawberry or raspberry low-fat yogurt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 2 c. frozen (slightly thawed) whole strawberries

Skillet Buffalo Chicken Lasagna

1 In 12-inch ovenproof skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, chopped
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/3 cup Buffalo wing sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (6 oz)
- 5 to 6 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Crumbled blue cheese, if desired

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- 1 (16-ounce) package corkscrew macaroni
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese, divided
- 3 (6-ounce) cans tuna, drained, flaked
- 2 tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices

- 1 1/4 cups vegetable shortening
- 2 cups sugar, plus more for sprinkling the parchment paper

- 4 1/2 teaspoons (2 tubes) red food coloring gel
- 3 cups cake flour, plus more for flouring the cake pans
