- 1 whole chicken, about 1.6kg (3 1/2 lb), cut into 8 pieces
- 6 large garlic cloves, unpeeled, smashed with the back of a knife
- 3 lemons
- 1 teaspoon very finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon very finely chopped fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 baguette, torn into roughly 3/4"-2" pieces
- 2 anchovies, finely chopped or smashed with a fork
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 4 tablespoons water
- 6 cups loosely packed arugula
Chipotle Shrimp and Pineapple Skewers

Preheat grill to high, direct heat
- 2 chipotle chiles (from 1 can chipotles in adobo sauce), plus 2 Tbsp adobo sauce
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil, plus more for grilling
- 1 lemon
- 1 pineapple, peeled, cored, and cubed
- 1 1/4 lb large or extra-large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 scallions, finely chopped
Grilled Broccoli Raab and Charred Red Onions

In a small bowl, combine 3 Tbsp
- 6 Tbsp. olive oil; more for the grill
- 2 cloves garlic, mashed to a paste with the side of a knife
- 1 large jalapeño, seeded and minced (3 Tbs.)
- 2 Tbsp. fish sauce
- Kosher salt
- 1 medium red onion, trimmed, peeled, and cut crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick rounds, kept intact
- 1 lb. broccoli raab, tough bottom stalks trimmed
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Oatmeal Molasses Crisps Recipe

Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- 2-1/2 2-1/2 2-1/2 cups butter, softened
- 5 5 5 cups sugar
- 4 4 4 large eggs
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup dark molasses
- 3 3 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4-1/3 4-1/3 4-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 4 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 3 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 2 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4-3/4 4-3/4 4-3/4 cups old-fashioned oats
- 2 2 2 cups finely chopped pecans
Prune Roll

Cut into 5 small rolls; knead and flour a little
- Blend the following with a pastry blender:
- 6 cups sifted flour
- 8 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 10 tsp. Crisco
- Combine:
- 1 1/2 warm milk and dissolve 2 pkgs. yeast and 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 eggs (at room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Add this liquid to flour mixture, continually adding flour to make it workable - it will be sticky. But continue adding flour and kneading dough.
- Filling:
- 12 oz. bite size prunes makes 2 rolls. Soften the prunes in boiling water for a few minutes and then drain and cut them to be spreadable.

- 5 ounces semi sweet chocolate chopped
- Custard Layer
- 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch

- 3 egg yolks
- 1 and 1/4 cup half and half
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Topping
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

- 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate

- 3 tablespoons instant coffee powder
- 2 tablespoons real vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 1⁄4 cups flour, divided
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 cups diced walnut pieces
Jumbo Shells with Spinach and Walnuts
