Heinz 57 Sauce

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend on/off for 2 minutes on high or until smooth
- 1/2 Cup raisins
- 2/3 Cup Heinz ketchup
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 4 oz applesauce
- 2 Tbsp Wish Bone Italian Dressing
Sausage Gravy

Cook sausage, drain and save the fat
- 1 1/2 pounds sausage
- 2 ounces fat from cooked sausage
- 1/2 ounce onions, minced
- 1 1/2 ounces flour (see hint below)
- 2 cups beef or pork stock
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Rhubarb Baked in Wild Raspberry Syrup

For the raspberry syrup: Combine the raspberries, lemon juice and 1/3 cup water in a large metal bowl
- 4 cups fresh raspberries, preferably wild
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 About 1 1/2 cups sugar (depending on the amount of raspberry juice produced)
- 1 1/2 pounds rhubarb (7 to 8 large stalks)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Raspberry-Rhubarb Slab Pie

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt; cut in butter until crumbly
- VANILLA ICING:
- 3-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup plus 1 to 2 tablespoons 2% milk
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 5 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened raspberries, thawed and drained
- 3 cups sliced fresh or frozen rhubarb, thawed and drained
- 1-1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in a paper bag; shake to mix
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 3 cup apple cider
- 2 large eggs
- 6 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
- 3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled, plus more for work surface
- 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. Kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice
- 1 48-oz. bottle canola oil
Slow Cooker Ethiopian-Spiced Chicken and Black Lentil Stew

In a slow cooker, combine the lentils with the crushed tomatoes and chicken broth
- 1 cup black lentils, rinsed and drained
- One 14-ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 skinless bone-in chicken thighs, fat trimmed
- 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 large sweet yellow onion (about 1 1/2 cups), finely chopped
- 5 large garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons Berbere spice
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1/2 cup white wine
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt for serving

- 2 3⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1 can Solo Poppy Seed Cake and Pastry Filling or 1 jar Baker Poppy Seed Filling or Baker Prune Plum Filling or other Fruit filling
