  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • For the icing:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 16 ounces confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 quart water
