German Upside Down Cake

- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 box confectioner's sugar
- 1 stick butter, at room temp
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temp
Dawne's Chili

I also make this chili with venison and sausage
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 2 1/2 cups Pasta Sauce
- 1 (8 oz) jar salsa
- 1 can light red kidney beans
- 1 can dark red kidney beans
- 1 can Rotel
- Cayenne, oregano, basil, brown sugar
- to taste
Sausage Grits Casserole

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees
- 3 cups hot cooked grits
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup minced green onion
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 (3 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tsp hot sauce
Tempura Batter

- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cup flour
- 1 cup flat beer
Onion Pie

My friend Patrice gave me this recipe
- 1 sleeve ritz crackers
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 stick butter
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp self rising flour
Praline pecans

Stir together first 5 ingredients in heavy 3-quart saucepan
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- 5 cups pecan halves
Coconut Pie

Easy dessert
- 1/2 cup Bisquick
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 can (3 1/2 oz) coconut
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 TBSP butter, softened
Apache Cheese Bread

Great appetizer
- 16 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 8 0z sour cream
- 1/2 cup minced green onion
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup ham chopped
- 2 small cans green chilies chopped
- 1 round bread ( hawaiian bread or any deli bread)
Brookforest Eggs

Great breakfast dish. This can be made for any number of people, just keep adding layers
- 9 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked ham
- 3 tbsp chopped green pepper
- 2 3oz cans sliced mushrooms
- sliced American cheese
- salt
- pepper
- Paprika
Veal or Chicken with Lemon, Capers and Parsley

Serves 2 If using chicken, pound the breast thin before preparing
- 6 ozs Veal scallops, salted and peppered
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp drained capers
