Brown Butter & Vanilla Pear Pie

Preheat oven to 350 with rack in lowest position
- 1/2 c unsalted butter
- 2-1/2 lb. pears (about 5), peeled, cored and chopped
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 3 T flour plus more for rolling
- 1 T vanilla
- 1/4 t kosher salt
- 1/4 c sugar, plus more for sprinkling
- Piecrust
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
BLT Panzanella

Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss bread with 1 tablespoon oil on a rimmed baking sheet
- 4 cups crusty sourdough bread torn into bite-size pieces (from a 12-oz. loaf)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 6 slices thick-cut bacon
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 cups packed baby arugula
- 2 cups multicolored cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves, torn
- 2 ripe avocados, chopped
- 2 tablespoons drained capers
Pretzel Chicken with Fig Mustard Dip

Preheat oven to 425. Place pretzels in a resealable plastic bag
- 2 1/2 C honey mustard and onion flavored pretzel pieces
- 1 t ground cumin
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 12 chicken tenders, about 3 1/2 pounds
- 1/3 c fig or apricot jam
- 1/4 c grainy mustard
Cheese Puffs

Mix all together. Form into balls
- 1 jar Old English cheese (in a little juice glass size jar)
- 3/4 c flour
- 1/8 lb. butter
Pumpkin Pan Pie

Preheat oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with foil
- 1 pie crust sheet
- 1-15 oz. can pumpkin (1-3/4 cups)
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 1-1/4 t pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 t salt
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1-1/2 c half and half
- Whipped cream
Peppermint White Chocolate Bark

- 16 ounces white chocolate, chopped & divided
- 1 tablespoon melted shortening
- 1 cup peppermint candies, coarsely chopped

- 1 egg yolk at room temperature
- 1/3 cup sugar

- 2-8 oz. Pkgs. cream cheese
- 1 medium onion
- 1 lb. deli ham
- 1/2 t soy sauce
- 1/2 t Worcestershire sauce

- 2-1/2 c flour
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1T baking powder
- 1 t kosher salt
- 6 T (3 oz. ) cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese (1 c)
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 c whole buttermilk
