French Cream Icing

Blend cornstarch, milk and salt into sauce pan
- 2 T cornstarch
- 1 c milk
- few grains of salt
- 1/2 c Crisco
- 1/2 c butter (can use all butter instead of 1/2 c Crisco)
- 1 c sugar
- 1 t vanilla
Pecan Maple Bacon

Heat oven to 400. Place wire rack in foil lined 15x10" baking pan
- 1 lb. thick bacon
- 1/4 pure maple syrup
- 1/4 c finely chopped pecans
Maple-Pepper Butter

Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until combined
- 1/2 c unsalted butter
- 1 T maple syrup
- 1-1/4 t black pepper, coarsely ground
- 1/2 t kosher salt
Cinnamon Rolls

Let dough rise in warm place for several hours
- 1 roll of frozen sweet roll dough
- butter
- brown sugar
- white sugar
Creme Brulee

Beat egg yolks in bowl until light yellow, about 5 mins
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 T and 3T sugar
- 1-1/3 whip cream
- 1 t vanilla
Feliz Navidad Crackers

Preheat oven to 350. Place foil on baking sheet
- small onion, diced and divided
- garlic clove, minced
- butter
- can of drained pinto beans
- pinch of salt
- pepper jack cheese
- Crunchmaster crackers
- Sour cream
- tomato, diced
- avocado, diced
Thumbprint Cookies

Beat butter and ⅔ cup of the sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon table salt
- 1/3 cup orange marmalade
- 1/3 cup plum preserves or seedless raspberry jam
- 2 ounces white chocolate, finely chopped
Orange Bourbon Ham Glaze

Stir together and brush on him in the last 45 minutes of baking
- 1/2 c Orange marmalade or peach preserves
- 1/2 cup of stoneground mustard
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
Fruit Dip

Mix first 3 ingredients together
- 1 box instant vanilla pudding
- 1/4 c orange juice
- 1 scant c milk
- 16 oz. sour cream
Beefed-Up Nibblers

Combine all ingredients except bread
- 1 can (3 oz.) sliced mushrooms
- 1 c finely shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 c beef stick summer sausage
- 1/3 c mayonnaise
- 1/4 c chopped black olives
- 1 loaf cocktail bread (rye or pumpernickel)
