Ham and Mortadella Sandwich with Provolone and Pickled Hot Pepper Relish

- For the pepper relish:
- Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Fresno peppers
- 2 red bell peppers
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced thin on the mandoline
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- For the sandwiches:
- 4 ciabatta sandwich rolls
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 pound provolone cheese, sliced
- 1/2 pound ham, sliced thinly
- 1/2 pound mortadella, sliced thin
Jean's Coleslaw****

-Mix dressing, stirring to dissolve sugar
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 5-6 T half&half
- S&P
- Celery salt
- 1 T white vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar

- cake roll:
- 3/4 cup sifted cake flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp buttermilk
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp red food coloring
- cream filling:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Original Red Velvet Frosting:
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. vitamin D whole milk

1. Place flour, sugar and salt in a food processor
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup + 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- Filling
- 12 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup whipping cream
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla
- Chocolate curls for garnish
