Instructions Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly cracked pepper
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into 1/2" cubes
- 2 cups freshly grated cheddar cheese
- 3 green onions, sliced thinly
- 12 slices bacon, cooked and diced
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons water

- 1/2 1/2 1/2 pound (225 g) ground beef or lamb
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 pound (225 g) ground turkey

- 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) strong hot coffee or hot water plus 1 tablespoon espresso powder
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups (10 ounces, or 284 grams) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 grams) baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons (9 grams) baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
