Lemon Tea Cookies

For years now, my mom has made these dainty little lemon cookies every Christmas

- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/3 cup confectioners’ sugar
- for the frosting
- 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
- 1/4 cup unsalted cold butter, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Pasta Carbonara

- 1 pound Linguine Pasta
- 1 whole Large Onion
- 8 cloves (to 12 Cloves) Garlic
- 1 cup White Wine (or Substitute Another Cup Of Stock)
- 1 cup Chicken Stock
- 4 whole Eggs
- 1-1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 bunch Parsley
- 1/2 stick Butter
- 1 Tablespoon (to 2 Tablespoons) Black Pepper

- Ingredients
- 12 ounces refrigerated fresh pizza dough
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2.5 ounces part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded (about 2/3 cup)
- 3 center-cut bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
Ham Bone Bean Soup

Any combination of beans just make this soup even better
- 1 1/2 pounds (24 oz) mixed dried beans such as navy, northern, white kidney, large lima, baby lima, pinto, black eyed, cranberry, pink, small red, green spit pea, yellow split pea, lentil or black - any combination will be good, the more the better
- 3 quarts water
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Creole Seasoning (with salt)
- 1 left-over ham bone
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups chopped ham
- 2 quarts (8 cups) chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large potato, peeled and diced
- 2 large carrots, diced
- 3 celery stalks, diced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or freeze-dried
- 2 teaspoons Creole Seasoning
- Pinch of thyme
- cup corn kernels(I like shoepeg)
- 2 -14.5 ounce cans petite diced tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste

- 3 cups Corn Chex
- 3 cups Wheat Chex
- 3 cups Rice Chex
- 2 cups Pretzel Sticks
- 2 cups Mixed Nuts
- 1 stick (to 1 1/2 Sticks) Butter)
- 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 6 dashes (to 12 Dashes) Tabasco Sauce
- 3 cloves (to 5) Garlic, Mashed
- 1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
Hot and Spicy Chex Mix

Prepare this spicy snack the day before your get-together
- 3 cups Corn Chex® cereal
- 3 cups Rice Chex® cereal
- 3 cups Wheat Chex® cereal
- 1 cup mixed nuts
- 1 cup pretzels
- 1 cup bite-size cheese crackers
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 2 to 3 teaspoons red pepper sauce
- Tips
- Choose any small pretzels—holiday shapes are great when they’re available.
- Use any combination of your favorite Chex® cereals for this recipe.
