- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces (or canned)
- 2 celery ribs, thinly sliced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

- 1 cup uncooked brown rice, cooked according to the package
- 1 head of broccoli, cooked and drained
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (for the cooked broccoli)
- 1 pound chicken, boneless skinless chicken breasts (2 - 3 pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 - 10.75 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk (approximately 3/4 of the soup can)
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup French fried onions
