- 1 cup butter
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 3 or 3 1/2 cups flour
Lentil and Brown Rice Soup

1.Chop up all of your veggies 2
- ◾3 carrots
- ◾2 stalks of celery
- ◾1 medium onion
- ◾3 cloves chopped garlic
- ◾4 plum tomatoes (or 1 can of diced tomatoes)
- ◾1 cup of brown rice
- ◾1 cup of lentils
- ◾10 cups of water
- ◾2 tablespoons of chicken base (I use the Better Than Bouillon)
- ◾salt and pepper
- ◾2 bay leaves
- ◾olive oil
Nacho Cheese Sauce

Shred the cheddar and Monterey Jack while they are still cold
- 1 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 ounce cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/8 cup Monterey Jack, shredded
- 1/2 tablespoon hot sauce (to start, see below)

Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Preheat the oven to 375 and lightly grease (I used cooking spray) a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
