- 5 cups day-old bread cubes
- 4 cups scalded milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest

In the deep half of a frittata pan over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1 cup sliced green onions, white and green portions, plus more for garnish
- 8 oz. fresh chorizo sausage, casings removed
- 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
