1. To make meatballs, add all meatball ingredients and mix in a bowl

  • Sauce:
  • 1 lb. spaghetti, cooked
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 medium onion,peeled and diced small
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • Two 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp. fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Meatballs:
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, peeled and diced small
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 3 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup Parmigiano cheese
  • sea salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
