American Rye Bread Recipe

This rye bread recipe uses white rye flour for a light bread that is great with meals or sandwiches
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups white rye flour
- 3 cups high protein bread flour
- 2 tablespoons wheat gluten
- 1 seven gram packet instant yeast
- 2 cups water at 105 degrees
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 tablespoon caraway seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon molasses or molasses crystals
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Double Lemon-Poppy Seed Bundt Cake

You can use buttermilk powder in place of fresh buttermilk
- For Double Lemon-Poppy Seed Bundt Cake:
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 cups whole-wheat pastry flour (see Ingredient note)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk or equivalent buttermilk powder (see Tip)
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature (see Tip)
- 2 large egg whites, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups sugar or 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons Splenda sugar Blend for Baking
- For Lemon glaze:
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar, plus more for dusting
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 sticks margarine (1/2 lb) (I used butter.)
- 1 cup sugar (I used 1/2 cup stevia/sugar blend)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup nuts (optional) (I used chopped walnuts)

One-Pot Chicken and Brown Rice

1. In a large Dutch oven or heavy pot, heat oil over medium-high

- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (6 to 8 ounces each)
