  • 1 lb bacon, cooked and finely chopped
  • 2 lg bunches (~4 heads) fresh broccoli, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 large red onion, finely sliced and rings halved
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/8 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

Saute onion in butter. Add ground beef and cook until done

  • 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 1 Tbsp basil
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper

Wash and pat dry basil Pulse in food processor

  • Crusty Italian bread or baguette (This recipe made enough for 8 large slices Italian)
  • Tomatoes—I used cherry tomatoes, quartered. Could use 6 Roma or plum tomatoes, chopped or thinly sliced
  • 1 c. mozarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 large clove garlic, crushed (Can use the bottled stuff)
  • 1-1 1/2 c. fresh basil
  • 1/2 c. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Balsamic vinegar (optional)
