- 24 graham cracker sheets, finely chopped (1 1/2 cups)

Just Desserts Blood (Orange) Gelato

In a small saucepan, bring the orange juice to a simmer over medium-low heat
- 1 cup fresh blood orange juice (from 4 to 6 oranges)
- 5 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon grated blood orange zest

Perfect Pie Crust

This is the recipe I use. I didn’t invent it
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose or pastry flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon sugar (for a fruit pie. Omit sugar for a savory pie.)
- 3/4 cup cold butter, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup cold leaf lard, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup cold water

1) In a small bowl, whisk together oil, lime juice, salt and pepper

- 2 Tbsp. fresh-squeezed lime juice

- 16 oz Sweet ground Italian Sausage
- 1/2 cup Millet, uncooked
- 26 oz pasta sauce, garlic and herb
- 28 oz Crushed tomatoes, or Whole tomatoes crushed with hand
- 12 oz can roasted red peppers, chopped
- 2 T. Tuscan Sunset
- 1 lb. dry rigatoni

Sweet Apple and Cheese Barley Salad

- For the Salad:
- 2 apples, diced with seeds and core
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 apricot cheese, cubed OR any speciality cheese
- 2 to 3 cups Barley, cooked (pressure for 20 minutes)
- 1 pint raspberries
- 3/4 cup walnuts, pieces
- 1 head of leaf lettuce
- Sweet Red Wine Vinegar Dressing:
- 2 T. red wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 t. salt
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 t. Dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup xagave syrup
