Stir fry garlic and ginger in hot oil for 30 seconds
- Sauce:
- 2 cloves garlic
- Canola oil
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- bok choy chicken
- Pea pods beef
- Broccoli asparagus
- Celery brussel sprouts
- Green onions carrots
- Bean spouts cabbage
- Baby corn cobs cauliflower
- Eggplant peppers
- Spinach swiss chard
- Tomato zucchini
- Szechuan sauce:
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 Tbsp. Asian chili-garlic sauce
- 1.5 tablespoons minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
TOMATO GRAVY

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 {28oz} can crushed tomatoes
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced scallions
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or more to taste
- Kosher salt
- Fresh ground pepper
SLOW COOKER GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

Heat butter in a large skillet until it has just begun to brown
- 3 tablespoons salted butter
- 1.5 lbs. sliced white button mushrooms
- 1 large yellow onion, peeled, finely diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 lbs. green beans, 1.5” pieces
- 1 cup French’s onion topping, optional
ROASTED CHICKEN-BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE {giada}

Whisk vinegar, mustard, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper in small bowl to blend
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar {2oz}
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper
- 4 lb. whole chicken, cut in pieces
- 1/2 cup low-salt chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley leaves
TUNA TAPENADE

TAPENADE: Blend all the ingredients, except tuna, in a food processor until smooth but still chunky
- Crostini:
- 1/2 cup canned pitted black olives
- 1/2 cup jarred pitted green olives
- 4 tablespoons capers
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 {5-6oz} can tuna, in oil
- Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
- 1 baguette
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH PANCETTA {giada}

Partially cook the Brussels sprouts in a large pot of boiling salted water, about 4 minutes
- 1 lb. fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 oz. paper-thin slices pancetta, coarse chop
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup low-salt chicken broth
DEVILED EGGS {mom}

Mash yolks, then mash in rest of ingredients
- 12 hard cooked eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 2 oz. cream cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup mayo {2oz}
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon mustard
KOREAN HONEY-SESAME CHICKEN SKEWERS

Combine all ingredients {except chicken} in a food processor or blender; process to a smooth purée
- 1/2 cup soy sauce {4oz}
- 1/4 cup dark sesame oil
- 1/3 cup honey {4oz}
- 1/4 cup sake or dry sherry {2oz}
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds*
- 1 tablespoon minced, fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon hot paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 small Asian pear or firm regular pear, peeled, cored, diced
- 3 BS chicken breasts, cut in strips
CUCUMBER CREAM CHEESE SPREAD {country cook}
