In large saucepan, heat oil until hot

  • 2 T Veg Oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 T minced onion
  • 2 T chili powder
  • 1 t ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh white mushrooms, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh shitake mushrooms, sliced (2 1/2 c)
  • 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes
  • 19 oz can white kidney beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1/2 c sliced ripe olives
  • 1/2 c water (or broth)

Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat

  • 2 Tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablspoons ground red chilies-adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 can, 28 oz, whole tomatoes, drained
  • 1 canned chipotle chile in adobo sauce
  • Creme fraiche, if desired
  • Chopped red bell pepper, if desired

I garnered this recipe from a patient years ago

  • Basic Ingredients:
  • 1 qt half & half
  • 3 pints heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cans PET milk
  • 3-4 c sugar
  • Add ins:
  • 2 cans curshed pineapple or,
  • 2 cans peaches, mashed into small pieces or,
  • 2 qts fresh strawberries, sliced and sugared to taste, or
  • choc syrup to taste
  • when freezer stops, add nuts or broken candy bars
  • peanut butter softened in microwave added to choc ice cream before freezing
  • Any other combo you like
