Bit-O-Honey Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

For the pumpkin bars: Heat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Pumpkin Cake:
- 5 (1.7-ounce) Bit-O-Honey Bars
- 1 cup canola oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 (15 ounce) can pure pumpkin
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 ounces (1/2 stick) butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
Homemade Decongestant

Wash, peel, and trim the vegetables as appropriate, and cut the onion into 2-4 chunks
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 5-7 radishes
- 1 small red onion
- 6 garlic cloves (If my cloves are super-small, I use a couple more.)

- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 packages (one 8 ounces, one 3 ounces) cream cheese, softened

- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 c shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c milk
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 t lemon rind
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1/4 c sugar
Hush Puppies

Directions In a medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and onion
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 C. white sugar
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 C. self-rising flour
- 1 C. self-rising cornmeal
- oil for frying
Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

- 2 T vegetable oil
- 6 oz. portobello mushrooms, sliced 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick
- 1 LB white mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. fresh, minced rosemary leaves
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried tarragon or 1 T chopped fresh tarragon
- 1/2 C water
- 3 T tomato paste
- 8 oz. sour cream
Flavored Whipped Cream
