A REUBEN sandwich was always my first choice when eating out - until I found this recipe in a local newspaper
- 1/4 cup sauerkraut
- 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 2 slices Swiss cheese (3/4 ounce each)
- 2 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- 1 Tablespoon Thousand Island Dressing
Crispy Fried Chicken II

Combine flour and seasonings in a bowl
- SEASONED FLOUR:
- 2 1/2 - 3 lb. cut up frying chicken
- Crisco for deep frying

- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- Combine all ingredients. Set aside.

- CRISPY BATTER:
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 beaten egg yolk
- 3/4 cup water

- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 2/3 cups wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 pkg.) yeast
