Smoky farro and chickpea soup

1. Heat a large Dutch oven over medium heat
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cups finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 cups organic vegetable broth
- 3 cups water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Spanish smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 (15-ounce) can unsalted chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can unsalted, fire-roasted diced tomatoes, undrained
- 4 cups chopped Swiss chard
- 3 cups cooked farro
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1.5 ounces grated vegetarian Parmesan cheese (about 1/3 cup)
Sticky Chicken wings

1. Rub the chicken with garlic salt on all sides
- 3 pounds cut-up chicken
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt, or to taste
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups cornstarch
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
Scott's BBQ Sauce

Sauté onion and garlic. Mix in spices, cook through
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 large yellow onion, chopped
- Garlic to taste
- 2 T salt
- 1 T chili powder
- 1/2 t allspice
- 1/2 t nutmeg
- 1/4 t ground clove
- 1/4 t each black, white, cayenne peppers
- 8 t dry mustard
- 1 C molasses
- 1/2 C Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 C Lea & Perkins Worcestershire
- 2 squirts Liquid Smoke, pecan flavor
- 2 cans rotel, medium hot
- 1 12oz. Can tomato paste
- 1/2 box dark brown sugar

- 3 cups chicken stock, preferably homemade
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 1/2 cup good grated Parmesan
- Flour, olive oil, and butter, for frying
