- 1 cup water
- 1 8-ounce can stewed tomatoes
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking brown rice
- 1/4 cup snipped dried apricots
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 3/4 pound boneless chicken or turkey, cut into 1-inch pieces
Mom's Salad Dressing (Germany)

Mix all ingredients in a bowl
- diced onions
- a little bit of water in a bowl
- two drops off vinegar
- salt
- pepper
- two drops of worchester sauce for Maggie Creme (Mayo) works too
- some green onions as well or chives and there you go!!
Mushroom Potato Soup

Saute: In a large pot, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat
- 2 tbsp butter, divided
- olive oil
- 1-2 carrots, chopped
- 2 leeks, chopped
- 2 tsp dried dill
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 lbs diced Yukon gold potatoes
- 1 lb of sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp flour
Quiche with Hash Brown Crust

Dry out your thawed hash browns really well between paper towels, and then mix with the butter
- 3 cups thawed hash browns
- 4 T melted butter
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 c half-n-half
- 6 or 7 slices of cooked, cut up bacon (I used turkey bacon and cut it up with kitchen shears)
- 1 T dried minced onion
- 1 c cheddar cheese, shredded

- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 1-1/2 cups salsa verde, divided

- 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
