Robin Koury's Spice of Life Beer Can Chicken

Soak the wood chips in water for at least 2 hours
- 4 pound chicken
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 heaping teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 can beer (recommended Sam Adams White Ale)
- 3 cups apple wood smoking chips
- 1 disposable aluminum pie plate (or drip pan)
- 1 tablespoon honey
Barilla No-Boil Lasagna

Directions Preheat oven to 375
- 1 (9 ounce) boxes of barilla no-boil lasagna noodles
- 2 eggs
- 1 (15 ounce) containers ricotta cheese
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 lb ground beef or 1 lb sausage, browned
- spaghetti or pasta sauce
- parsley ( to garnish)
French Onion Soup

Coat a large deep pot with olive oil
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- 8 large onions, thinly sliced from stem to root end
- Kosher salt
- 6 ounces dry sherry
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 bundle thyme
- 2 quarts chicken stock
- 12 thin slices baguette
- 1/2 pound Gruyere, grated
- 1/2 bunch chopped chives
Brussels Sprouts with Hot Bacon Vinaigrette

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
- 10 slices bacon, chopped
- 3 pounds Brussels sprouts, quartered
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons firmly-packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Carrot Cake

For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 whole eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups grated carrots
- Butter, for greasing
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped finely
S'more Brownies

- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Pinch fine salt
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 4 large cold eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups large marshmallows
Grilled Lasagna

Preheat a grill to medium
- 1 1-pound ball fresh mozzarella, halved and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- 3 large tomatoes (2 thinly sliced, 1 grated)
- 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 8 cups baby spinach (about 5 ounces)
- 1/3 cup low-fat ricotta cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh herbs (basil, mint and/or parsley)
Irish Beer Cheddar Soup

Add the beer, chicken stock, onion powder and white pepper to a large pot over medium heat and bring to a boil
- 64 ounces lager (recommended: Harp Lager)
- 25 ounces chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons white pepper
- 2 pounds peeled and diced potatoes
- 2 ounces cornstarch
- 6 ounces water
- 1 pound Cheddar, shredded
- 8 ounces Cheddar cheese sauce
