Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • Note - I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 coconut oil. and ground flax seed and water as an egg substitute. cookies were awesome!

the banana bread: I mix all the wet ingredients together with a potato masher so the bananas will get really mush...

  • then add:
  • 6 really ripe bananas
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup softened butter or margarine (I use butter)
  • 1 TBS vanilla
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2.5 cups plain flour (I use king arthur unbleached bread flour)
  • 2 cups chopped nuts- either walnuts or pecans do best.
