- 3 cups leftover macaroni and cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup canola oil
Orecchiette with Crab

- Salt
- 1 pound orecchiette
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 12 crimini mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 2 to 3 ribs celery from the heart with leafy tops, chopped
- 2 shallots, chopped
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 pint grape tomatoes
- Pepper
- 1 cup green peas
- 10 to 12 ounces lump crabmeat, picked through for shell pieces
- A few dashes hot sauce
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup seafood stock, clam juice or chicken stock
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup cream, eyeball it
- A handful fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
- 3 to 4 sprigs fresh tarragon, leaves chopped
- Grated Pecorino Romano, optional

- 1 pound dried spaghetti
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 1/4 cups mixed olives, pitted and halved
- 1/2 tablespoon red pepper flakes, plus more if desired

- 1/2 cup basil leaves, shredded
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped

- 2 tablespoons finely grated red onion
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), at room temperature
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 ounces English toffee candy, finely chopped (recommended: Heath or Skor)
- 1 cup hazelnuts, toasted, skinned and chopped
- 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
