Deep Fried Oysters

Often simple is best and this is a simple recipe that also works for other Shellfish such as Shrimp and Scallops
- 2 quarts canola oil for deep frying
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 12 ounces shucked oysters, drained
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup fine soda cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup panko
Barbecue Sauce Texas Style

Mix together and simmer 15 minutes
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup catsup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 cup tomato sauce

Combine chicken and lemon juice in a bowl just large enough to hold them comfortably
- 8 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 t freshly ground black pepper

- 1 Tablespoon grated lemon zest
- 1/8 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 cup chicken stock

- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 (28 oz) cans whole Roma tomatoes
- 1 (32 oz) carton vegetable broth
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil, plus more for garnish
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 16 oz refrigerated three cheese tortellini
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- Parmesan, shredded, for serving
