Sweet & Sour Ham

Drain pineapple and reserve
- 1 can pineapple chunks in juice 19 oz
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 1 1lb fully cooked ham cut in strips
- 1 sm green pepper chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 4 cups hot cooked rice
Baked Almond Chicken

Almonds and fresh orange add a nice twist to chicken any day of the week or for casual entertaining
- 1 tbsp butter 15 mL
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds 125 mL
- 4 small boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb/500 g) 4
- 3 tbsp cornstarch 45 mL
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar 30 mL
- 1/4 tsp each, salt and pepper 1 mL
- 1-1/2 cups Milk 375 mL
- 1 tbsp Dijon or honey mustard 15 mL
- 1 tsp grated orange zest 5 mL
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice 30 mL

- 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts (4 ounces each)

Tastes like lasagna but doesn't have the layers
- 8 Lasagna noodles broken into bite-size pieces
- 3 qts. Boiling water
- 2 tsp Cooking oil (optional)
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
- 3/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 x 14 oz Canned tomatoes, with juice, broken up
- 5 1/2 oz Tomato paste
- 1 Cup Creamed cottage cheese
- 2 Cups Grated mozzarella cheese
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp Dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Dried sweet basil
- 1 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Basil
- ( When I have fresh herbs, I use those. Adjust to your own taste. You may find that you don't need as much in a slow cooker)
