Miso Slathered Daikon

Whisk together ingredients to make hacho miso and set aside
- Hacho Miso Sauce:
- 4 cups reserved rice rinsing water
- 1 lb daikon, peeled and sliced into 1 inch rounds
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
- Shiso, thinly sliced for garnish

- 4 tbsp miso
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sake
Rub, Neely's

Mix all ingredients and set aside
- 4 oz paprika
- 2 oz white sugar
- 1 tsp onion powder
Edamame

Thaw edamame in warm water and drain well
- 1 lb edamame shelled
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp dashinomoto
- 3 cm piece of ginger, peeled and grated
- 1/4 cup mirin
Five Colour Salad

Toss the cucumber with salt and set aside
- Dressing:
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced Japanese or English cucumber
- salt
- 1/2 cup daikon, peeled and cut into matchsticks
- 1/2 cup slice marinated shiitake
- 2 sheets marinated age
- 14 oz marinated shirataki noodles
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp prepared hot mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
Minestrone, meatless

- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 medium zucchini, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 29 oz can of diced tomatoes, undrained
- 15 oz can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 15 oz can tomato puree
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 3 tbsp dried parsley flakes
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup small pasta shells
Memphis Blues All Purpose Dry Rub

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly so there are no clumps
- 1 cup dried parsley
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup Lawry's seasoned salt
- 2 tbsp ground black pepper
- 3 tbsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp onion powder
- 3 tbsp dried oregano
- 3 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 tbsp mild mustard powder
- 1 tbsp celery salt
- pinch cayenne pepper
Lemon Cheese Cake

Cream well the cream cheese
- Filling:
- Crust and Topping
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp icing sugar
- 1 1/2 - 1 2/3 cups crushed graham wafers
- Use 1/3 for topping if desired.
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 3 oz pkg lemon Jello
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Rind of 1/2 lemon
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup whipping cream
Roasted Peppers

Half and seed the peppers
- 8 peppers
- 8 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp parsley
Sesame Sauce

In grinding bowl or blender, grind sesame seeds to a paste
- 1/2 cup dry-roasted sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1-1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Popovers

Preheat oven to 450 deg F Combine flour and salt in small mixing bowl and set aside
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp melted butter
