Chocolate Waffles

Melt the butter and shortening in a small saucepan, stirring to combine; remove from the heat and set aside
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup, plus more for topping
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray
- Confectioners' sugar and/or berries, for topping (optional)
Instant Pot Chicken Marsala

Season both sides of chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- 1-2 pounds of chicken thighs (or breasts if you prefer)
- 4 tsp butter or ghee
- olive oil spray
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 3 T diced shallots

- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Farmhouse Chicken Chowder

1. Cook bacon in Dutch oven over medium heat until crisp, about 8 minutes

- 1 ounce Parmesan cheese, grated (1/2 cup)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 6 (3- to 4-ounce) chicken cutlets, 1/2 inch thick, trimmed
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded (1 cup)
Sweet Ruby

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the scotch, vermouth and grapefruit juice and stir well
