- 1 large loaf of challah
- 8 large egg yolks
- 4 cups heavy cream, half-and-half, or milk; or a mixture of the three
- 3/4 cup plus 3-4 Tablespoons sugar

- 1/2 stick (4 Tbs) unsalted butter
- 1/2 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup + 2 Tbs all-purpose flour
- 1 can (14 ounces) chicken broth
- 2 cups (16 ounces) salsa verde, homemade or store bought
- 1 can (15-ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 1 rotisserie chicken, skin removed and meat deboned (about 6 cups)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 scallions, minced
