Orange Glazed Carrots and Parsnips

1. In a 4 quart slow cooker combine carrots and parsnips
- 2 lbs carrots cut into 2 inch chunks
- 1 lb parsnips, peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks
- 2 Tbps finely shredded orange peel
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup marmalade
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 Tbsp quick cooking tapioca crushed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup snipped fresh parsley
- 3 Tbsp butter
Green Bean Casserole

Saute sliced onion and mushroom in butter Add flour and mix
- 2-12 oz pkgs frozen french cut green beans(cooked and drained)
- 1 5 5 oz tin water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1/2 cup toasted silvered almonds
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms sliced
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup cream
- 1 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/8 tsp tabasco sauce
- 2 Tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Cajun Bread Pudding

Soak raisin, vanilla and 1 Tbsp Bourbon for 15 minutes
- 1/2 loaf French bread torn into small chunks
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup marg melted
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp Bourbon
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- Whiskey Sauce
- 1/4 cup marg(do not use butter)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp Bourbon
