Saucy Pan Steak

HEAT oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 portobello mushroom, sliced
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 beef t-bone steaks (1 lb.), 1/2 inch thick
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup hot mashed potatoes

In the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attached, place the cornstarch, sugar, yeast, salt and 2 cups of flour
- For the filling:
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp dried active yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup dark brown sugar

French Onion Soup*

Melt the stick of butter in a large pot over medium heat
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 onions, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 fresh thyme sprigs
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup red wine, about 1/2 bottle
- 3 heaping tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 quarts beef broth
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 1/2 pound grated Gruyere
Sweet Corn and Zucchini

- Saute 2 cups coarsely chopped zucchini
- and 1/2 cup diced sweet onion in 3 Tbsp. butter in a large skillet over medium high heat 5 minutes.
- Add 2 cups fresh corn kernels, 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives, and 2 tsp. taco seasoning mix; saute 5 minutes or until tender.

- 1/3 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons rum or vanilla flavoring (can use more rum if you want)
