- 2 T. cornstarch
- 1 t. seasoned salt
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 T. maraschino cherry juice
- 1 t. worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly spoon flours into dry measuring cups; level with a knife
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup fat-free milk
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup butter or stick margarine, softened
- 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
- 1 large egg

- 3 C. flour
- 1 C. brown sugar, packed
- 1 T. B.P.
- 1 t. salt
- 3/4 t. soda
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
- 4 large bananas
- 1 1/2 4oz containers refrigerated egg substitute (3/4 cup)
- 1/3 C. oil
- 1 8oz strawberry-banana low-fat yogurt
- 1 1/2 C. banana-nut cereal
Black Bean Pasta Salad

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water
- 8 ounces rigatoni or penne pasta
- 1 jar (16 ounces) salsa
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded reduced-fat Mexican cheese blend
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Southwestern Pasta

- 1 Pound rotelle (wheel-shaped pasta or spirals)
- 1 16oz. jar salsa
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
- 2 (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 green onion, finely chopped

- 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plus 2 teaspoons sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cold butter
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons reduced-fat sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped dried peaches or apricots
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
