The Directions below are the Hillbilly House Wife Directions
- 2 cups warm tap water (not hot)
- 1/3 cup non-fat dry milk powder (instant powdered milk)
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons sugar, (or 2T. Honey)
- 1 packets dry yeast, (2 1/4 t. = 1 packet)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons butter or margarine or shortening, softened
- 6 cups (approximately) white or whole wheat flour or a combination, (I like a blend of 4 cups white flour and 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour)
Easy Baked Apple Oatmeal

1. In medium-large mixing bowl, lightly beat the eggs
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar*
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 large apples (2-3 cups), cored and diced**
- Milk or whipped cream, for serving (optional)***
Creamy Ham Casserole

Cut cauliflower into florets (about 3 cups)
- 1 medium cauliflower
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups cubed cooked ham
- 1 (3-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon cold butter or margarine
Homemade Poultry Seasoning

- 2 teaspoons ground sage
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground thyme
- 1 teaspoon ground marjoram
- 3/4 teaspoon ground rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

- 1 med. onion, halved lengthwise, sliced
- 1/2 med. green bell pepper, cut into bite-size strips
- 10 3/4 ounces can condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1 can
- 3/4 cup thick and chunky salsa
