Deana's Beefy Vegetable Soup

Combine all ingredients in Crock-Pot
- 1 lb. beef soup bones*see notes, more or less
- 1/2 lb. beef chuck**see notes, more or less
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes, optional
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 10 ounces frozen cut green beans, thawed, 1 package
- 1 cup chopped celery, more or less
- 1 cup carrots, pared and sliced, more or less
- 1 cup diced peeled potatoes, more or less
- 16 ounces canned diced tomatoes, or whole cut up
- water, 2 to 3 c. or to cove
- 2 beef bouillon cubes, optional
Quick Sugar Cookies

In a medium sized bowl cream together the margarine or shortening and sugar
- 1/2 cup soft margarine or shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 medium egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1-1/2 cups flour

- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Gelatin

- 6 ounces processed American cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Deana's Chicken Noodle Soup

Place a soup pot over medium heat and coat with the oil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 medium carrots, cut diagonally into 1/2-inch-thick slices
- 2 celery ribs, halved lengthwise, and cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme, or 4 fresh thyme sprigs
- 1 bay leaf, optional
- 2 quarts chicken stock, See recipe for How to make homemade Chicken Stock
- 8 ounces dried wide egg noodles
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
