Preheat oven to 400° If apples lack tartness, sprinkle with 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 6-8 Granny Smith Apples-peeled and thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
- 3/4 -1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 -1 tsp cinnamon
- Dash of nutmeg and salt
- 2 tbsp apricot jam
- 2 tbsp butter cut into small pieces
- Pastry for a 9 inch two crust pie

- 3 cups pecan halves
- 1 & 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 3/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 & 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
