In a jar with a lid, combine lemon juice, vinegar, water, cheese, mustard, garlic powder and pepper
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 1/2 tablespoons prepared Dijon-style mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Amish Breakfast Caserole

1. In a large skillet, cook bacon and onion until bacon is crisp
- 1 lb. bacon diced
- 1 medium sweet onion
- 6 eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 c. shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 c. small curd cottage cheese
- 1 1/4 c. shredded swiss cheese
Senate Navy Bean Soup

Cover beans with 6-8 c. hot water and bring to a boil
- 1 lb. dry white navy beans
- 1 ham bone or 1 1/2 lbs. ham hocks
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 2/3 c. mashed potatos (or flakes)
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp. grated nutmeg
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 bay leaf
Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Place rice and water in a saucepan, and bring to a boil
- 1 1/3 cups uncooked white rice
- 2 2/3 cups water
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups mild salsa
Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar

Chef John's Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Melt butter in a large soup pot over medium heat
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup diced carrot
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons melted chicken fat
- 2 quarts roasted chicken broth (see footnote for recipe link)
- 4 ounces uncooked wide egg noodles
- 2 cooked boneless chicken breast halves, cubed
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
