In a pitcher, combine the wine, brandy, liqueur and guava nectar
- 1 750-ml bottle dry rose wine
- 4 ounces brandy
- 2 ounces maraschino liqueur
- 3 ounces guava nectar or juice
- ice
- 8 ounces chilled ginger ale
- 8 orange wheels & 8 maraschino cherries
Chocolate Chip and Banana Muffins

1. Preheat the oven to 350F and line two 12-cup muffin tines with paper or foil liners
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups mashed overripe bananas, about 6
- 3 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (6 ounces)
Jerk Pineapple Pork Chops

1. Cut four 1/2-inch thick rounds from pineapple, set aside
- 2/3 of a whole (4 pound) pineapple, peeled
- 1 buch scallions, sliced crosswise into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 small banero or 1 large jalapeno chile, stemmend and seeded
- 2 teasoons dried thyme
- 4 garlic cloves, smashed and peeled
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
- 4 bone-in pork chops (3/4-inch-thick and about 6 ounces each)
- coarse salt and ground pepper
- 2 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Halloween Party Mix

1. Preheat oven to 325F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment
- 1 large egg white
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups popped unsalted popcorn
- 2 cups mini pretzel twists
- 2 cups salted roasted peanuts
- *For nut free, add 2 extra cups of pretzels instead.
Cauliflower Risotto

1. In a medium saucepan, bring broth to a simmer; reduce heat and keep warm
- 6 cups low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 large shallot, minced
- 2 large celery stalks, minced
- 1 cup Arborio or Carnaroli rice
- 1/2 cups dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio
- 1 cup cauliflower puree
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme leaves
- coarse salt and ground pepper
- grated Parmesan, for serving
Seared-Steak Fajitas

1. In a shallow dish or bowl, combine steak, soy sauce and 1/4 cup lime juice
- 3/4 pound top round steak
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup plus 1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice (from 3 limes), plus wedges for serving
- 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- coarse salt and ground pepper
- 2 medium green bell peppers, seeded and thinly sliced
- 1 large white onion, halved and thinly sliced
- 8 corn tortillas, warmed
- 1/2 cup grated white cheddar (2 ounces)

Combine room temperature cheese and milk; add 1/2 cup powdered sugar gradually
- 2 Tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tablespoons finely crushed peppermint candy
- 1 drop red food coloring
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups sifed all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 6 Tablespoons finely crushed peppermint candy
Creamy Lemon Pie
