  • Topping:
  • 8 T butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 2 ½ c flour
  • 3 c finely cut rhubarb
  • ½ c pecans
  • 8 T butter
  • ¾ c evaporated milk
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Mix together and bring to boil; boil 3 ½ mins. Beat with spoon. Pour on top of cake.
