In a sauce pan mix dates and water
- Filling:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 bag dates (roughly 2 cups)
- 1 cup water (may need to add more depending on consistency)
Strawberry and tomato salad with fresh herbs

Cut in half the tomatoes and the strawberries, or if really large in quarters
- 20 cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup of fresh strawberries
- 8 fresh basil leaves
- 10-12 mint leaves
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
