Citrus Sugar Cookie Dough

Sift flour, baking and salt into medium bowl
- 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 1/4 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 1 1/4 teaspoons grated tangerine peel or orange peel
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
Powdered Sugar Icing

- 6 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup milk
- 6-8 cups powdered sugar
- Assorted food coloring
Crunchy Dried Cranberry-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 3 cups rolled oats (not quick-cook or instant)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips; or 3 ounces good-quality dark chocolate, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

- Dressing:
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1 can shoepeg corn, drained
- 1 (4 oz) pkg. crumbled feta
- 3 scallions, chopped
- Dash of salt, pepper, garlic powder
- 1/3 c virgin olive oil
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1/3 c cider vinegar
Daddy Daughter Dance Punch

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water
- 3 oz cherry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 6 oz can frozen lemonade
- 3 cups cold water
- 1 qt cranberry juice chilled
- 1 pint ginger ale chilled
Black Bean Casserole

In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in oil
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans, drained
- 1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced mild chilies
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
- Dash red pepper flakes
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 9 corn tortillas, each cut into 6 sections
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
