Shrimp Fried Rice

1 In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the salt, pepper and cornstarch
- 8 * 8 ounces small raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- * freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 * 2 tablespoons cooking oil, divided
- 3 * 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 * 2 stalks green onion, minced
- 4 * 4 cups leftover rice, grains separated well
- 3/4 * 3/4 cup frozen peas and carrots, defrosted
- 1 * 1 tablespoon soy sauce (use gluten-free soy sauce if you are making a gluten-free version)
- 1 * 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Flour Tortillas

Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and oil
- Two cups of all-purpose flour (can make them whole wheat by substituting one cup of whole-wheat flour for white flour)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 3/4 cups of warm milk
Homemade Taco Seasoning

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and mix well to blend
- 4 tbsp. chili powder
- 3 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. paprika
- 3 tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. onion powder

- 5 pounds beef ribs, English style, cut into single ribs
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper

- 1 (14.9-ounce) bottle dark beer (recommended: Guinness)
- 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch rounds
- 3 shallots, peeled, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon cream sherry
- 1/4 cup molasses
- Cherry Chipotle Sauce:
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
- 1 (15-ounce) can tart cherries
- 1 (15-ounce) can cherries (sweet in light syrup)
- 1 tablespoon chipotle paste, or pureed chipotle with a little adobo sauce
- 1 tablespoon molasses
