This can be made ahead so it is very convenient for the holidays
- Topping:
- 1 loaf thick cut French bread
- 8 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups half and half
- 1 milk
- 2 tblsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Dash salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla

- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pecans
- 2 tblsp corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp each cinnamon and nutmeg
Black and white cupcakes

- White Batter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 11/2 tsp vanilla
- 1-1/2 plus 3 tblsp cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- Black Batter
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1-1 -4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tblsp vanilla
- 1 cup cake flour
- 2 tsp bkg powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Jennie's Pizza Dough

Mom's dough is perfect
- 8 cups flour ( all purpose or bread or 1/2 & 1/2)
- 3 tsp salt
- 3 cups warm water
- 3 tblsp yeast
- 1 tblsp sugar
- 1 tblsp honey
- 3 tblsp olive oil
Red Beans and Rice

Delicious and hearty
- 1 lb. Red beans
- 1 medium onion
- 1 bunch green onions
- 7 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup parsley
- 1 rib celery
- 1/2 ! Cup catsup
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 tblsp. worchestershire
- 2 tsp. Tobasco
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. Thyme
- 1 lb. Ham
- 1 lb. Sausage
- Salt and pepper to taste

Sift dry ingredients. Cream sugar and butter, add egg and vanilla
- Praline topping:
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp bkg powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cube butter
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pecan halves
Pork Loin Cherry Salsa

Combined all ingredients. Smoother Pork Loins with Salsa Bake @ 400 for 45 minutes
- Cherry Salsa:
- 1 jar Cherry Jam
- 1 1/2 Cups Chopped Dried Cherries
- 3 Tbsp (finely) chopped white onion
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro
- 1 Chopped Jalapeno (remove seeds if you want it less hot)
- 2 Tbsp (or to taste) Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Pork Loin

Buttery shortbread
- 4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- 2 cups ground pecan (ground in food processor)
- 2/3 cop powdered sugar
- 2 T. Ice water
- 2 T. Milk
- Powdered sugar to roll cookies.

- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 bottle of beer, I use black butte porter
