Homemade Pretzels

- Combine the warm water, sugar and kosher salt in the bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle the yeast on top
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 pkg dry active yeast
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbs unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 10 cups water
- 2/3 cup baking soda
- 1 lg egg yolk, beaten with 1 Tbs water
- Pretzel salt (or kosher salt), for topping
Sweet Chili Pineapple Chicken Easy Crockpot Recipe

This easy and delicious crock pot recipe combines Thai chili rice with pineapple and chicken
- 1 330 g bottle sweet chili sauce
- 1 8 oz can chunk or crushed pineapple in juice
- 4 -6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
- 2 cups fresh red, yellow, or orange bell peppers (optional)
- 2 cups fresh pea pods (optional)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets (optional)
- 2 tbsp corn starch (optional)
Layered Shrimp Dip

Layer in dish as listed above
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz cocktail sauce
- 2 lbs, cooked & chopped shrimp
- chopped tomato to taste
- chopped green onions to taste
- 2 cups shredded, mozzarella cheese
Roasted Green Beans with Mushrooms

Preheat oven to 450F/230C
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced in 1/2 inch slices (I used brown crimini mushrooms, but any mushrooms will work)
- 1 lb. fresh green beans, preferably thin French style beans (or frozen)
- 1 1/2 T olive oil
- 3 T balsamic vinegar
- salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 2 T finely grated parmesan cheese
Coconut-Pecan German Chocolate Pie Recipe

In a small bowl, mix flour and salt; cut in lard until crumbly
- FILLING:
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons cold lard
- 3 to 4 tablespoons ice water
- 4 ounces German sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- TOPPING:
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Sausage and Vegetable Lasagna

1. Prepare the besciamella sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups whole milk, heated
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage, casings removed, crumbled
- 1 red bell pepper, seeds and inner white ribbing removed, diced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, seeds and inner white ribbing removed, diced
- 3 carrot3, diced
- 3 small zucchini, diced
- 1 ⁄4 cup dry white wine
- 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 ⁄2 cup chicken stock, heated
- 3 sprigs thyme, chopped
- 3 sprigs parsley, chopped
- 1 pound lasagna
- 1 ⁄2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated
Pot Roast

Brown in oil & butter. Add ingredients except carrots, potatos & onions
- 3 - 4 lb chuck roast
- 1 Tbs vegetable oil
- 1 Tbs butter
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 can beef broth
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup A1
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 6 medium new potatos
- baby carrots
- onion, quartered
- 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
Spaghetti Pie

Cook spaghetti according to package directions and drain
- 6 oz. spaghetti
- 2 T butter
- 2 well-beaten eggs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 lb. Italian Sausage mild or hot skinned
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup bell pepper
- 1 8 oz can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 t. sugar
- 1 t. Basil or Oregano
- 1/2 t. garlic salt
- 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 small can of black olives pitted (optional)

- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
