These very rich biscuits are great favourites
- 2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) baking powder
- 3/4 tsp (4 mL) salt
- 1 tsp (5 mL) freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped fresh dill or 1 tbsp (15 mL) dried
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) light cream

Mix all ingredients together well
- 3/4 cup margarine soft
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

In a bowl combine 11/2 cups chopped dates,2 cups rolled oats
