Brie with Caramelized Onions, Pistachio and Cranberry
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 med red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup of dried cranberries
- 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. of balsamic vinegar
- Veg . oil
- 1 round (approx 15oz) brie cheese
- 1/4 cup pistachio nuts or slivered almonds

This is a mash-up of French and Japanese influences, with a very American meat-and-pasta sensibility
- Udon Noodle Cakes:
- •4 packs (7-ounce single-servings) precooked udon noodles , still in their packages
- •Sea salt
- •2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- •Freshly ground black pepper
- Pea Shoots:
- •Pinch sea salt
- •1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- •2 cloves garlic , minced
- •1/2 cup faux chicken stock

Chocolate Nutella Cookies

So what better to remedy my stress? Those magical Chocolate Nutella Cookies that got me through the first time
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, lightly spooned into measuring cups and leveled with a knife
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if using salted butter)
- 2/3 cup Dutch-process unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon hazelnut extract (you can substitute 1/2 teaspoon vanilla if you can’t find or don’t like hazelnut extract)
- 1/3 cup Nutella
- 1/3 cup milk
New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookies

I’ve been eyeing this famous New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe for a very long time now
- 2 cups minus 2 tablespoons (8 1/2 ounces) cake flour
- 1 2/3 cups (8 1/2 ounces) bread flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt (I used sea salt)
- 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter (2 1/2 sticks)
- 1 1/4 cups (10 ounces) packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons (8 ounces) granulated white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 20 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)
