Chocolate-Dipped Spritz Recipe

Some of my sisters and I get together for a weekend during the holidays to do nothing but bake cookies
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Spice Islands® pure vanilla extract
- 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 11 ounces dark, white or milk chocolate candy coating, coarsely chopped
- Crushed peppermint candies
Melting Moments Snowball Cookies

In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar; add vanilla extract
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup Clabber Girl Cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- confectioners' sugar for garnish
Sunshine Bites

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Frosting:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups butter (no substitutes)
- 1 cup Clabber Girl Cornstarch
- 2/3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
- 1 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1 tablespoon orange juice (no pulp)
Sweetie Pie Pops

- Apple Pie Filling (combine all ingredients below):
- 1 Recipe Pie crust (or store bought pie crust dough)
- 6 " lollipop sticks (available at craft stores, including Walmart)
- small bowl of water
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Course sugar or sprinkles for top
- Canned pie filling, or homemade apple below
- Cookie Cutters
- 1 medium tart green apple, peeled and grated
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cold butter, grated
- Glaze (Whisk all ingredients until smooth. Add milk until desired consistency is reached):
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1-3 tsp milk

Cauliflower Crust Hawaiian Pizza

That is all! The pizza can be cut into 6 slices
- CRUST:
- 1/2 LARGE head cauliflower (or 1 1/2 cups shredded cauliflower)
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese (or try another kind!)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic (or fresh garlic)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- TOPPINGS:
- 1/2 cup tomato-basil marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)
- 1/2 cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 slices Canadian bacon, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup pineapple tidbits
Fudge Marble Swirl Cake

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
- 2 ¾ cups (675 mL) Robin Hood® Best for Cake & Pastry Flour
- 1 ½ tsp (7 mL) baking powder
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) baking soda
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely grated orange rind
- 1 ½ cups (375 mL) SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (250 mL) Crisco® Vegetable or Canola Oil
- 1 ¼ cups (300 mL) Astro® Original Balkan Style Plain Yogourt
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) unsweetened cocoa, sifted
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Glaze
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) Carnation® Fat Free Evaporated Skim Milk, hot (90ºF/33ºC)
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
APPLEBEE'S DEADLY CHOCOLATE SIN

A decadent chocolate cake drizzled with raspberry coulis
- Cake
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 2 ounces bitter chocolate
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 eggs, room temperature
- 4 egg yolks, room temperature
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 6 tablespoons cornstarch
- Raspberry Coulis
- One 10-ounce package frozen raspberries in heavy syrup, thawed
- Garnish
- 1 pint fresh raspberries
- 12 sprigs fresh mint
- 12 triangular cookies or chocolate pieces
Baked Oatmeal

You'll need oats (duh, right?! But don't get the quick-cooking ones),
- 3 c. oats (not quick-cooking)
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. Craisins, raisins, dried cherries, or other dried fruit
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. butter, melted (you can substitute applesauce for 1/4 c. of the butter if you want)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
