- Ingredients
- Crust
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds or hazelnuts) or old-fashioned rolled oats, divided
- 3/4 cup whole-wheat pastry flour (see Note)
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- Fruit Filling
- 6 cups chopped peaches, nectarines, plums and/or cherries (any combination, fresh or frozen), divided
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Combine all ingredients and whisk gently
- 4-6 lbs pork tenderloin
- 1 1/2 cup oil (canola or olive oil)
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry mustard
- 2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 garlic cloves, minced)

- 3 tablespoons cooking oil

- Margarine or butter (optional)
- Maple- or fruit-flavored syrup (optional)
Black Bean Burger 1

Heat the oil in a saute pan over medium heat
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/2 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 (14-ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/3 cup plain dry bread crumbs
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 soft hamburger buns
- sour cream, salsa, guacamole, lettuce, for serving

In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients
- 6 ounces cooked corned beef brisket, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
- 3/4 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons Thousand Island salad dressing
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
